Love in Action Community Works was founded in 2023 by Pastor Billy J. Noel Jr., a passionate leader and community advocate from Love Fellowship Church in Houston, TX. This nonprofit organization was born out of Pastor Noel’s commitment to serving the underserved in Southwest Houston by addressing pressing community needs such as food insecurity, basic necessities, and overall well-being.


The organization aims to provide vital resources and empower individuals and families in vulnerable situations by bridging the gap between immediate relief and long-term self-sufficiency. With a faith-based foundation and a heart for service, Love in Action Community Works seeks to uplift the community through compassion, dignity, and love in action. The mission is to serve the Sunnyside community by providing food, essential supplies, and support services to individuals and families in need, fostering hope, empowerment, and long-term well-being through compassionate care.

 

Core Programs and Services

1.    Food Pantry & Distribution:

A community food pantry providing fresh groceries, non-perishable items, and essential supplies to families facing food insecurity.

 

2.    Basic Needs Assistance:

Distribution of hygiene kits, clothing, and other essential household items to support low-income families and individuals experiencing hardship.

 

3.    Community Outreach & Engagement:

Partnering with local organizations, churches, and volunteers to host outreach events, wellness workshops, and community empowerment programs.

 

4.    Spiritual Support Services:

Offering spiritual guidance and emotional support through the pastoral leadership of Pastor Noel and the Love Fellowship Church community.
